AIRBOURNE: 'Runnin' Wild' Video In The Works
February 28, 2008Australian rock band AIRBOURNE has just shot a video for the song "Runnin' Wild" with director Nathan Cox, who has previously worked with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARILYN MANSON and LINKIN PARK, among others. The track is the title cut of the group's new album, which landed at No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. after shifting 7,000 units in its first week of release.
As previously reported, AIRBOURNE will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, February 29 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.
According to a press release, the CD — which was released in Australia last June — "channels the endearing qualities of classic rock while breathing new life through modern production and arrangement." Boasting an all-star team, "Runnin' Wild" was produced by Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, QUIET RIOT) and mixed by Andy Wallace (GUNS N' ROSES, NIRVANA, LINKIN PARK). With lead tracks such as "Runnin' Wild", "Stand Up For Rock n Roll", and "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast", "Runnin' Wild" "will be the new soundtrack to all-night partying."
AIRBOURNE recently released the third promotional video to support "Runnin' Wild". Watch the "Diamond in the Rough" clip below.
